    Care and Share

Care & Share provides material and spiritual support to under-resourced families and singles on a seasonal basis. Referrals come from outside agencies or congregation members. Our seasons of giving are Back to School, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.

We provide material things such as food gift cards, gift cards for kids at back to school and Christmas, gently used clothes, cleaning supplies, individual presents to family members at Christmas, and more. Spiritually, we provide a devotional service at Christmas and Easter, and a Prayer Buddy program from November until May. This ministry is funded only by donations from Peace members. Anyone can serve on this ministry team as either a team member or as a volunteer at one of our events. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Rose Hopkins through the church office.

If you are a member of the congregation and know of someone (member or not) who is in need, or if you are a congregation member who is in need, then please call Pastor Marty Hufford at the church office.

P.A.D.S. (Public Action to Deliver Shelter)

Peace serves the homeless as a PADS site every Wednesday night during the school year. Area churches join with us to provide and serve supper, breakfast, and sack lunches four Wednesdays each month. On fifth Wednesdays, Peace does the meals and provides the workers for three shifts. Volunteer sign-up is in the lobby prior to fifth Wednesdays. Peace volunteers wash the bedding laundry every week. Contact Jan Waichunas through the church office for more information about how to serve.

    Blood Bank

Because you are exactly the right type to give the gift of life, Peace partners with Heartland Blood Center to assist our congregation with a regular way to donate blood. Heartland brings its comfortable motor coach to us four times in a calendar year and rewards you with special thank you gifts for donating at least that often. There are some restrictions that may apply. Volunteers are needed to register donors in advance, make reminder calls, and check in donors. Contact Lori Brown through the church office to register, volunteer, or for more information.
